Day 30 Who are you?

I think challenges like these are great because it makes us stretch our minds on who we are. I know myself I find that I don't think of myself as a very interesting person with a very interesting life. Do you ever find that when people ask you what you have been up to, or what's new, you say nothing much. For me it's because I think that I am boring or that people would not be very interested in hearing about my everyday life. Even with my blogging I find that unless I have something really cool to share like a scrapbook project, or decorating idea that I don't want to put it into words.
Also with being unemployed for the last year I have had a really hard time figuring out where I want to go with my life. It's like I have spent the last 12 months just coming down off the anger of being without a job and the stress that the job it's self had me under. However, it's now time for me to figure out more about who I am, where I want to go, what I want to accomplish with my life. Being 38, unemployed and having no children, I don't seem to have a lot of single minded focus. It's OK to dabble in lots of different things, that's how you learn about the things your like or dislike, but it is time to really start narrowing the field. It's difficult and often a depressing thing to contemplate at this junction of my life. I'm almost 40 and by this time in my life I thought that I would have so many different things than what I have now. Not that I am complaining that my life is bad, or I don't have anything because I am very blessed in my life. It's things like having the job security and finances in line to help start doing all the things that we dreamed about like traveling and having a home of our own.
I'm looking forward to digging into myself a little deeper and finally hoping to convince myself that I am a person of worth and that I have much to offer the outside world other than just a nothing much attitude. I look forward to having you follow me on this journey and if you decide to do the challenge on your own blog leave me a link so I can follow along with you as you go through this challenge as well.
